Changes have been made to the Building Code 2013 requiring contractors to have a comprehensive policy for managing drug and alcohol issues in the workplace.

Provide alcohol screening in the workplace by means of random testing using a breath analysis instrument, completing appropriate documentation and providing the company with statistics.

Conduct drug screening of employees and/or prospective employees by means of urine or saliva screening

Personal consultation with both management and employees in regard to alcohol and drug related matters

Provide Drug & Alcohol Awareness Education.

Calibration of company / individually owned Breath Analysis instruments in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.

Assist in the drafting/development of a Drug & Alcohol Policy and Procedures.
